Editorial & Corrections Policy

Effective and last reviewed: August 2026

Our editorial purpose

PORCELAINTILES.US publishes independent educational resources that help readers understand porcelain and ceramic tile. Our primary purpose is education—not product sales. Articles distinguish general guidance from product-specific requirements and encourage readers to verify current documentation for the exact material and project.

Who creates and reviews the content

Knowledge Center publications are written and reviewed under the genuine editorial identity PorcelainTiles.us Knowledge Center Editorial Team. We do not invent individual credentials. Technical claims are checked against applicable standards, recognized industry organizations, and current primary documentation whenever available.

Source standards

We prefer primary and authoritative sources: standards organizations, codes, recognized technical bodies, academic research, and official product documentation. Commercial manufacturer or retailer sources are not used as promotional recommendations. Sponsored references will be clearly disclosed if introduced in the future.

Independence and sponsorship

Editorial conclusions are not sold. Advertising, sponsorship, or paid placement must be visibly identified and does not permit a sponsor to control technical conclusions. Unpaid brand promotion is avoided unless a named product is necessary to explain a verifiable technical point.

Review and updates

Each publication shows its month and year of publication and review. We revisit articles when standards change, a material error is reported, or important clarification is needed. A review date does not guarantee that every external standard or product document remains unchanged after that date.

Corrections

Substantive factual errors are corrected promptly after verification. Material corrections may be noted within the article. Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, and link repairs may be made without a separate notice. Readers can report a possible error to knowledge@porcelaintiles.us with the article URL and supporting evidence.

Use of editorial technology

Research and drafting tools, including AI-assisted tools, may support the editorial process. They do not replace source verification or human editorial judgment. The editorial team remains responsible for the published result.

Limits of the information

Knowledge Center content is general education, not a substitute for project-specific engineering, architectural, legal, code, warranty, or installation advice. Conditions vary. Always follow the current requirements for the exact product, installation system, jurisdiction, and site.
